Books

These are places where I find the books that I read.

Places to Buy Books

You can purchase books from the following retailers.

PangoBooks

If you are looking to buy or sell books, I highly recommend checking out the PangoBooks app. You can purchase books at a great price from other readers. You can check out my store here.

New users can get $5 off orders of $20+ with the code: BOOKRECSBYJESS

Bookshop.org

This is a great place to order books because it supports independently owned bookstores across the US. Every book you purchase from this website gives the profits to the independent bookstore of your choice. Read more about how it works here.

You can shop my favorites or any books on their website here. If you’re curious what books they have, just search for a book or author in the search bar down below.

Book Outlet

If you’re looking for an affordable place to buy new books, I recommend checking out Book Outlet. They have a variety of new books and are constantly adding more books every day.

If you’re a first time customer, you can save $5 off your first order of $25 or more with my link.

Book Subscription Services

These are the book subscriptions I use and recommend.

Scribd/Everand

This is a great subscription that I stumbled upon several years ago. This is a digital subscription that gives you access to eBooks, audiobooks, podcasts, magazines, and sheet music. You pay by the month and can cancel at any time.

You can get a 2-month free trial if you use my link.

Aardvark Book Club

A great and affordable book subscription is Aardvark. They are similar to Book of the Month but have different book selections (including a lot more romance than Book of the Month).

You can get your first book for only $4 (free shipping) with my code: BOOKRECSBYJESS

You can sign up or find more information here.

*This promotion is available to US residents only at this time and only new members are eligible (one usage per household).

Book of the Month

Out of the many book subscriptions available, I’ve found this to be one of the most affordable.

If you read mostly adult books, then this is a great option for you. You can choose a book each month or skip it if you don’t see anything you like. You can also add on books for a low price.

Recently, they added the option to choose audiobooks instead of hardcover books if that is something you’re interested in getting.

Sign up for your first month here.

Libro.fm

Do you like to listen to audiobooks and support local bookstores? Libro.fm is the perfect way to do both.

Libfo.fm supports local bookstores when you purchase audiobooks and sign up for their subscription.

Get a FREE audiobook when you sign up for a membership.

Advanced Reader Copies

Ever wonder how people get to read books before they are published? Check out these places to request and get advanced reader copies.

Reedsy Discovery

This is a site that I never hear anyone talk about, but I highly recommend it to anyone who is just starting out in requesting advanced reader copies (ARCs). They often do specials where they offer gift cards and other incentives to get people to read ARCs and write reviews of them. If you’re interested in joining Reedsy Discovery, then check them out here.

NetGalley

A very popular site to request ARCs is NetGalley.

They have both eBook ARCs and audiobook ARCs. They also have a lot of the more popular books on there, so you can check them out here.

Bookish Merch

These are some places that I recommend for purchasing bookish merchandise such as bookmarks, clothing, book sleeves, and more!

Bookmarks

These are shops that I’ve purchased bookmarks from in the past.

Brooke’s Bookish Shop

Brooke is a friend that I made through Bookstagram, and she has a cute Etsy shop where she sells mainly bookmarks but also blind dates with a book.

You can find her shop here and use the code JESS10 to save 10% off your purchase.

The Autumn Leaf Shop on Etsy

I have also purchased bookmarks from this shop that were so cute. They also sell book sleeves and other bookish merchandise. You can check out their shop here.

Book Sleeves

These are shops where I’ve purchased book sleeves to protect my books when I take them on the go.

Grace by Shan

I purchased a large Harry Potter themed book sleeve from this shop because I was having a hard time finding a good sized book sleeve that would hold large hardcover books. I am happy to say that the book sleeve I purchased from them is great for carrying around large hardcover books so that I can keep them protected.

Stickers & Washi Tape

These are websites where I have purchased stickers and washi tapes for my journals.

I recently discovered this shop through Instagram. I purchased several of their sticker sheets, washi tape, and an oopsie pack of stickers. They often give freebies in your order, which is a nice bonus.
